The Maintenance of Dry Magnetic Separator

The dry magnetic separator is an important equipment in the mineral processing industry. Therefore, the repair andreplacement parts of the dry magnetic separator are the basic repair techniques that we must master. Several accessories

should be paid attention to during the maintenance of the dry magnetic separator!

1.Replacement of the dry magnetic cylinder

The roller magnetic cylinder of the dry magnetic separator is the wearing part in the dry magnetic separator, and is alsothe main component that affects the quality and productivity of the magnetic separation. It should be replaced in time after wearing. When replacing the magnetic cylinder of the dry magnetic separator, first use a hook wrench to unscrew the round nut, and then use a special puller to pull the roller cylinder out. In order to ensure the balance of the rotor operation, the replacement of the magnetic roller should pay attention to the complete set of replacement, after the replacement should be done static balance test, so that the dry magnetic separator works stably. Be sure to tighten the nut when assembling and be careful not to miss the spring washer.

2. Lubrication and replacement of dry magnetic separator bearings

After the dry magnetic separator has been in operation for 300 hours, the bearings should be cleaned. If the bearing isoil lubricated, it is advisable to fill the bearing housing clearance by 1/3 when adding new oil, and the maximum is notmore than 1/2. Just tighten the capped oil cup cover a little before operation. When the dry magnetic separator bearing is seriously worn or damaged, it should be replaced in time, and pay attention to strengthen lubrication; if using tapered roller bearing, pay attention to check the axial spacing of the bearing to keep it 0.2-0.4 mm, if there is discomfort, adjust by increasing or decreasing the paper pad at the bearing cover.

3.Repair and replacement of dry magnetic separator screens

The screen is made of sheet steel or iron. When the screen is worn or broken by foreign matter, if the damage is notlarge, it can be repaired by riveting or soldering; if the area is damaged, the new screen should be replaced. Wheninstalling the screen, the burr side of the screen hole should face inward, the light side should be facing outward, andthe screen and the screen frame should be tightly attached. When the ring screen is installed, the lap of the lap shouldbe in the direction of rotation to prevent the material from getting stuck at the lap joint.
