What are the main factors affecting the magnetic separation effect of magnetic separators?

In order to achieve a good magnetic separation effect, firstly we must understand which factors will affect the magnetic separation effect of the magnetic separator. The main factors are as following:

1. Whether the magnetic field force provided by the magnetic source of the magnetic separator is suitable.

It is well known that after a magnetic object enters a magnetic field, the magnitude of the force depends on the magnitude of the magnetic force at that point, and the magnitude of the magnetic field force depends not only on the level of the magnetic field, but also on the magnetic field gradient at that point. The pursuit of high magnetic field strength while ignoring the construction of magnetic field gradients is clearly a very low-level error.

2. Feeding speed and material particle size.

The speed of feeding should be strictly in accordance with the design capacity of the equipment. However, it is very regrettable that the capacity of domestic magnetic separation equipment is generally markedly high. Regarding the particle size of the material, a magnetic separation device designed strictly speaking can only be sorted for materials with relatively concentrated velocity distribution. It is inevitable that there is no good result when using a device to process materials with widely different particle sizes.

3.Whether the movement state of the material during the magnetic separation process is favorable for magnetic capture

Simply make an analogy: when you take a piece of magnetic material slowly on the magnet, you may be sucked, but you are thrown to the magnet far away, which is probably the opposite result.
