Introduction of Spiral Classifier

Spiral Separator has 4 types, high-dam single spiral, high-dam double spiral, submerged single spiral and submerged double spiral.

The spiral classifier overflow position shall be higher than the bearing central part of spiral bearing lower end but lower than spiral upper edge of the overflow end. There is a certain settlement region suitable for classifying rough grains to get the overflow size bigger than 100 mesh.

The spiral separator is widely used in beneficiation plants for classifying mineral sand with ball mill to form closed cycle, in gravity beneficiation plant for classifying mineral sand and fine mud, in the process of metal beneficiation for granularity classifying of ore magma and ore washing process for desliming and dewatering. It has the features of simple structure, reliable operation, and convenient operation.

HOW IT WORKS

Operating Principle

The ore pulp is fed into the water trough from the feed inlet in the center of the settlement region.

The classifying settlement region is under the water trough. As the spiral rotates in low speed to stir the pulp and makes the light and fine particles suspend on the top and overflow to the edge to next processing step. On the other hand, the heavy and rough particles settle to the bottom and discharged as returning sand from discharge opening by spiral conveying.
