Introduction of Flotation Machine

Flotation machine is a main device to realize the flotation process. Flotation machine is applicable for the separation of nonferrous metal and ferrous metals, such as fluorite and talc. The impeller is drived by V-belts, which can bring the centrifugal effect to form negative pressure.

Materials grinded in the wet-type mill are concocted with the basically single-dissociated minerals into ore pulp of certain concentration. Then they fully interact with flotation medicament in the agitation tank. After that, they will be conveyed to the flotation machine for inflation and stirring. Therefore, the mineralization foam layer is formed on the ore pulp surface, and to get the foam products (fine ore) with the help of a scraper. From the above, it is self-evident that the equipment performance are the critical ingredient affecting the flotation index.

HOW IT WORKS

Operating Principle

When the floatation machine works, the motor drives the impeller to revolve, so the centrifugal effect and negative pressure are produced. On one hand, ample air is absorbed and mixed with mineral slurry, on the other hand, the mixed mineral slurry is mingled with additive, meanwhile, the foams are thinning, the mineral is bounded with foams, and floats up to the surface of mineral slurry and the mineralized foam is formed. The liquid surface can be adjusted with the height of adjustment flashboard, so that the useful foams are scraped with squeegee.

Every cell unit has three functions: air absorption, slurry absorption, and floatation separation, and the unit form a floatation separation loop by itself without any auxiliary equipment, and is allocated horizontally, which favors the change of flow.

The circulation of mineral slurry is reasonable, and can avoid the precipitation of coarse sand to the largest extent.

There is one self-control device on the surface of mineral slurry, so it is easy to adjust it.

The impeller has backward-inclined upper and lower vanes, which produce upper and lower circulation of mineral slurrry respectively.
